The company, which left behind world giants Abacus and LG for the lighting of the golf course named after world-famous golfer Colin Montgomerie at the Maxx Royal Hotel and which will host the THY World Golf Cup, is now trying to get the job against Philips. If Turay gets the job, he will not only eliminate world lighting giants; he will also have signed the lighting of a course that will be held during the October G20 Summit and where US President Barack Obama, known for his passion for golf, is expected to play.

Hüseyin Turhan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Turay Lighting from İzmir, which has carried out many lighting projects for 50 large hotels, each costing 2-3 million TL, competed with world giant companies whose parking lots are “as big as our company” in his own words, and finally made it to the finals in the lighting project with a total size of 2 million Euros. Expressing that their adventure started in Işıkkent, Hüseyin Turhan stated that they have carried out many lighting projects from Antalya to Istanbul and Izmir, and even abroad, and said, “Since lighting is the last phase of a project, the delivery must be on time, on the day and in the promised quality. Those who achieve this remain in the market. We do not sell ready-made goods, we have been producing qualified, projected products for about 20 years.”

Turhan, who also stated that they provided lighting services to shopping mall and residence projects in countries such as Algeria, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan through a group of Turkish contractors, said, “We have specialized by focusing on LED in particular. The last project also came with customer satisfaction. We had also built the Maxx Royal Group hotels. When they saw the performance, they asked us for a quote for the lighting of the golf course named Montgomerie. In addition to the British Abacus, LG and Philips, which have illuminated 15 golf courses in Dubai alone, we, as Turay Lighting, submitted a bid.”

 

Turhan, who emphasized that this work is a mathematical task rather than simple lighting, and that measurement and data analysis are of great importance; "To do lighting correctly, you need to provide this service with an expert staff. My daughter Tuğçe Turhan, who is also a master architect, made great efforts in this project. If we were not at the same level as Philips and LG, they would not put us on that scale anyway. We provided all our answers and files in terms of technical infrastructure. We passed the class in the first stage. LC and Abacus are gone, now we are competing with Philips. If the LED decision is made, we will have won the race," he said.

The "The Turkish Airlines Open" tournaments, which have become a brand tournament by Turkish Airlines within the scope of the European Tour Final Series and have a prize of 7 million dollars, will be held at the end of October this year. Many legendary golfers from Tiger Woods to Colin Montgomerie have participated in the tournament so far.
